Reunion Dinner 2009

Im sooo sooo tired! Woke up in the early afternoon and I was nagged to clean the shoe rack outside our house. Then i went to help in the preparation of the reunion dinner. Cleaning and washing the different kind of balls, veges, fish maws, abalone, and even helped in bee hoon cooking etc. By the time my mom and i finish the cooking and washing, it was about late afternoon and i gotta help in mopping the floor blah blah blah..

Damn shagged. Sat and watch some programme on Channel 8 and i dozed off immediately, woke up only when i hear the sound of doors opening (CBG and BIL's back!).

Had steamboat for reunion dinner (as usual). Mummy didnt kept her promise (as usual). Coz all of us were bloated and mummy said "later then eat lah. I go off 1st, later will come back and eat". Yah right~ she did came back the dining table eventually, but with containers and plastic bags to keep all the left over ingredients. (=.=")

Ah Pang came this year again! Was feeling kinda sulky when she told me she's going to Ipoh on CNY eve, but she had changed her schedule and she's driving to Ipoh only on the 1st day of CNY. Hohoho! (^o^)

As all of us were bloated (except for ah pang.. poor her, only had a sip of soup at her ah gong's place), and mummy told us she forgot to buy tang yuan, so we decided to talk a walk down Toh Yi, and try our luck in "the search of tang yuans" at 7-eleven.

Boo~ juz as what papa think, there's no tang yuans, and we decided to go in "the searching of paddle pops" instead. Haha! Again... Boo~ no paddle pops.. =.=

Saw the whole Pang family when we sent Ah pang back to her ah gong's place. Kaoz! Her 2nd brother is soooo tall and erm.. big-sized now! I couldnt even recognise him! But one thing for sure after so many years... The "bickering" with her eldest brother and me will never change. Somehow, we juz cant help but suan-ing each other whenever we meet. Ha!

Birthday celebration with colleagues/friends

Happy advance birthday Lawrence Lee!

Shopped for ah law's gift last Fri (I was on half day!!) on behalf of the 8 shareholders and bought a Shaeffer ball pen. Hope that he'll like it. Haha.

Went Phin's steakhouse for our dinner, Swensens for dessert and Clementi Kbox for after programme.

Pang seh-ed my poly gang for the after programme. Felt so guilty. Actually was in a dilemma whether to go for supper or kbox-ing.

Birthday celebration vs supper?

Im being a little pessimistic here thinking "maybe this will be the last time im celebrating ah law's birthday?" Coz im not sure whether i'll still be in PIL the same day in 2010. Supper? Well, i can always join the poly clique for supper on our other outings etc.

Fortunately, i have a bunch of lovely gfs and bf that's big-hearted enough and let me off this time (its my first time flying "aeroplane"~). Make up to them? I will definitely turn up for our next gathering! I swear~! Erm... as for making up to Lion... well.. I shall order you your frog porridge but pls~ don tell me to kill a rabbit!!

Reminiscences of my days in FDI

Helping Ham with his OB project brought back memories of my previous job.

When Ham asked, 'what do you think the company lacks in?'. Gosh.. i can immediately think of a few sia. But, as he continue his conversation of his studies (i dono hw the interview turned out to be a complaining session).. I cant help but recall on the happy and unhappy moments then.

I must admit that i am not very happy working then. Maybe its coz of the stress i got, juggling between work and studies? Or maybe its coz of the "fake" smiles i always put in front of my boss. Well, im not a very friendly person at the initial stage, and i tend to "warm up" slower than others. My boss's an ang moh, and she got the habit of greeting "how r ya?" every working morning. Its sweet and nice of her, but somehow, i got the feeling that "how r ya?" is juz a 口头禅 and not asking out of sincere? Or maybe im juz not used their "style"? Whahah! Hmm..

Another thing is i lost 2 friends through working together. Not a matter of conflict of interests in work related stuff, but rather.. a "showing your true colours" period.

Anyway, im still glad that im exposed to a different working culture. A mixture of western and indian cultures, and im glad that ive met nice friends like Ms See, Aileen & Wendy (we're still in contact) fortunately. =D

Backlogs

Its soooo nice to end work at 1pm on Friday and no 6am or 630am wakie on the first day of a working week!!

Went to a "Mini Concert" (claimed by M) at his music school - Hark Music on Sat with my friends. Erm, well.. the students' performance.. well.. work harder~ But the performance by the music teachers were great! Nice vocals, nice music.


I kinda like the one performed by J3's Keyboard player (Alex) from SG's Super Band Season 1 (he's one of the vocal teacher in that school). Nice singing. Im imagining how he'll sound if he sing Yoga Lin's 那首歌. Hoho~

There's another singer who sang a Japanese Song (forgot the title), and another one who sang 4 soothing Chinese songs. Their singing is pleasant, soothing, gentle and.. yah.. the kind of melody that i will hear before i sleep (not boring ah.. its relaxing~).

Made Oreo Cheesecake at CBG's house. Coz her fridge is more "empty" that the one at home. Couldnt see the finishing product on the same day coz i gotta leave early, so she mms-ed me the finishing product the next day. Errrr... I think i better stick to cooking savoury dishes than baking? Whahaha!

But...... I will surely make use of the oven at home. I shall begin with baking cookies~ Something that im more confident in, coz ive learnt it during sec sch~ Hohoho.

Went shopping with Papa & Mummy at Suntec after we picked the frames for our family photo. It was a tough decision as there's sooo many frames to choose from!! Luckily Papa is not that fickle-minded sort of person. So...the duration were less than 30mins? Hahah!

Mummy bought nothing at Suntec coz nothing is to her liking. Its either the sleeve's too short or price too expensive for her. Haiz... I pay mah~ why bother? =x She still prefers the clothes at Beauty World ba~ She's a regular customer~

Love shopping with Papa. Will go into every shop and wont keep asking "are we there yet?". And the common thing we look out for is... FOOD! Hohoho!

P.S. I bought the Adidas bag i went "high and low" searching for !!! Lili~ Im sorry.. Omma cant resist her temptation~

The truth is~ "I need your lappy to check stuff regarding my PA work."
