Move house loh!!

I am SO tired from all the packing, shifting, unpacking!

The day finally arrived, and today is the day I wave goodbye to the cosy, private room that I’ve been spending my 2 years and 10 days in. After many months and rounds of discussion about where both me and my boss will be working in after confirmation of our transfer, I finally got my wish come true.

It's like I've been on board a roller coaster ride during those months of discussion. From excitement when they say I will be sitting near my “brother” in level 5 to anxiety when they say I will be located at TDFN to disappointment when they say I will be located to level 4 FN to now happiness when it’s confirmed that I’m at level 5 FN.

My boss had put in a lot of effort during the discussions subsequent to the “decision” at TDFN. Thanks so much! But everything’s nothing to me even if I’m at TDFN now.

Anyways, I finally see the bond among the FN staff today! I guessed it’s not a bad thing to be in the FN family after all? Colleagues in FN have been welcoming me with bright smiles on their face. And the ladies around me are treating me like their daughter telling me the past FN stories when they see my sian face while waiting for my PC to arrive.

It’s a pleasant start! =D

It sucks

This is so Yucky. It's like losing a soccer bet.
Just his luck to be losing this to the foul bull.
I still support you!

GO HAMILTON!!

MAD night!!

Thanks to JY and her colleague for the contractors’ pass to F1 Singapore 2010 Concert, I can get a close up view of Daughtry and Adam Lambert!!

I have been asking people around me to join me for the concert but it’s either they’re not free or not interested. I wanted so much to watch Lambert’s performances cos’ I know it’ll definitely be fantastic! I also wanted to catch Daughtry’s performances cos’ I like his songs (well, I have to thank my ex-boyfriend for introducing Daughtry to me)!

I LOVE ADAM LAMBERT TOTALLY!!!

Lambert’s performance as expected was not a let down! Even my friend (not a fan of Daughtry/Lambert) who accompanied me there started to get fascinated with him and his crew as he performed!

We went there early, in time to “chop” standings for the concert. I like my view! First row outside the Fans Zone!! Woohoo!! His glamorous outfits, powerful special vocal (totally different from his album!), astonishing and fantastic performance was simply too hard to not get high and excited! SO COOL!!

I even let my hair down and swayed with the rest and even talked and laughed with a Caucasian beside me. It was only after the show that I realised we have been talking and bouncing throughout the performance. Haha! Should have gotten his contact number for the pictures cos’ my camera’s battery went flat even before Lambert came out!!! Arghhzz!

Just as we thought Lambert’s ending the concert with his last song ‘If I had you’, he encored with ‘Mad World’! This was so unexpected as the artistes before him did not encored their performance!

And what further excites me was the sound of the racing cars!!!! Hearing all the *vrooms and the screeching sounds as the cars raced through the route, I can’t help but kept shouting “GO HAMILTON GO!!!!”

F1 SINGAPORE ROCKS!!!!

YES YES YES!!

The day is nearing and I hope it’ll be confirmed!
I can’t wait for the day to come!!

Strolled around Chinatown while waiting for Lili; was craving for bubble tea and dum dum me forgot that there’s a Koi at Chinatown, and went for Cool Station instead. It was until I received a sms from Lili telling me to help her queue for Koi that I realised.

New eating restaurant found at Central – WATAMI Japanese Casual Restaurant. Good food, value for money, pleasant service. It’s a MUST GO!!

Saw this beautiful moon on my way home. So bright! This should be the moon on Lantern festival!!

The Durian Challenge

My family love durians and everything to do with this king of fruit, except for me. This year as usual, CBG and I bought mooncakes for the family. Due to the overwhelming response for Egg Custard flavoured mooncakes, we bought 4 durian flavoured ones instead.

Durian mooncakes from Home’s Favourite recommended by Mezzo Melz last year looks yummy. It even tempted me (not a durian fan~) to have a bite. I had a few bites which was more than what I expected!

I can now proudly say I’ve finally overcome my dislike for durians, but…… it’s still not one of my favourite fruits. =x

Tired but Happy – Lantern Festival

Woke up from my USS excitement and there’s another event for me to look forward to in the week!

Outing with my Jie Meis and catching Mezzo Melz’s public performance together with his LWS music school mates. *claps claps* for Melz’s virgin hosting! And once again, he has made use of one of his artistic talents in creating a nice accessory to his plain apparel! I couldn’t help but kept taking pictures of the product.

I was looking especially forward to one of the performances from Melz that night – Yoga Lin’s “Cruel Moonlight” 残酷月光! I was told that Melz will be singing alone for that song, but it turned out to have 3 more singers and together with the poor sound system, that song turned out to be quite a disappointment for me really, maybe because I had high expectations for that song?

Our night continued for 2 hours of gaming at Minds Café. The girls wanted to stay longer but I was really in the midst of drowning in my lala land, starting to say -_- stuff again. =x *Sorry ladies~~

Tired but Happy – USS

Universal Studios Singapore here we come!!

USS is TOTALLY FUN!! Thumbs up for having this in Singapore! Not too sure how other countries’ Universal Studio is like, but the one in Singapore is simply magnificent and definitely one of the MUST GO places for a “get-away-from-the-country” trip!

Thanks to my dear Jan again for the free tickets to USS. We had tons of fun and laughter enjoying and indulging ourselves totally!

I wasn’t feeling very well that day due to my usual stomach sickness, but I forgot about the pain once I see the USS globe! I got so excited, running and hopping about like no one is around, totally immersing myself in another world.

Jan, Mel and I compromised and we took rides that are acceptable at least to both of them. It was so thrilling when we took the Shrek 4-D Adventure ride. Like what my Dad told me when he went there with his colleagues once, there’s really water spraying at you during the virtual show! We were screaming in laughter especially when we felt “things” crawling below our feet.

Buildings and artifacts in USS all look so beautiful that we kept taking pictures with it. However, one disappointing thing is the photographer stationed at each character’s universe is not really good in their photography skills. Some pictures turned out blurry even with multiple shots.

Like what Jan and Mel said, it’s a right choice to go with your girlfriend(s) than your boyfriend, if they’re not interested in it at all. And this was further affirmed by BD who merely responded with an “orh” when I shared with him my excitements. -___-

Tired, but HAPPY!!!

Edward & Marie Wedding

Early shopping at Orchard road on a Sunday morning is fabulous! No squeezing with the crowds, no queuing for fitting rooms and cashiers, no fighting with the traffic, etc.

(Realised I’ve been spending too much on apparels these few days. About $220 on 1 casual dress for $60, 1 top for $40, 1 shorts for $40 and 1 trench coat for $80 in just 3 days! When the mood for shopping comes, you can’t just control it.)

My first time into LV at ION and I had this sensational feeling when the security guard opened the door and greeted you with politeness. Could it be our dressing? Could it be Lili’s LV bag? Could it be Lili’s “air”?

Made our way to Marriott for “Uncle” Edward’s wedding lunch and it’s so good to see Ham and Rikesh! Brings back fond memories of our Polytechnic days when we teased each other and the many irritating cold jokes and actions they always do.

As what “Uncle” said to treat his wedding as a gathering, it was really quite a gathering. We don’t usually see the guys, and surprisingly, we still have the common connection we used to have, at least for Rikesh and me (the Shit and Pig “pair”). Haha!

It’s nice to see that while retaining the childhood in them, they are moving on to the next phase in their life, working. 2.5 years in NTU and they are finally graduating in the coming year!! So happy for them!

The dishes served at the banquet was SO heavenly delicious (prawn dishes, Ling Zhi Mushrooms, abalone and double-boiled sharks fin soup, etc) that our stomach almost burst after the last course – Haagen Dazs Mini Ice Cream!!

I love the prawns, Ling Zhi mushrooms and Mango Pudding especially!!

Jan and I love desserts, so much that even though we kept saying we’re full, we still stuff as much sweetness in our “2nd” stomach as we can.

And that’s to my facebook wall “Xundi Lin feels like her dress is exploding!”

LET’S SWEETS!

Jan and I wanted to try this highly recommended Japanese desserts buffet place while we were queuing at Ma Maison weeks ago and here we are finally queuing for Let’s Sweets!

Reviews in U-weekly according to Jan, was so fantastic and looking at the appealing dishes from people’s table, we were starting to drool after a long 30-40mins wait.

We were given 50-60mins to dine (there was even a timer!), and we tried our best to take every dishes and finish them all up as fast as we can.

What a disappointment!! Food there was not really that delicious. Only a few like the tempura chicken, cheesy omelet, pasta, green tea cake, mango (something) and strawberry mousse, cheesecake and brownie we felt were nice.

Anyway, it was a good experience after all, at least we’ve tried and know it’s not a place we would like to spend our time for in future.

It’s a LONG weekend!

Great time for me to enjoy after a long and stressful month!

Something for me to boast about *hohoho* first, somebody resigned himself from the scrabble-liked game I always enjoy playing after a few turns. (Disclaimer: this does not mean my English is good~)

Then the birthday present I’ve been searching high and low for months for BD have arrived! So feel like giving him the present immediately, but cannot! I must endure!! In order to “hold back” my excitement, I went to surprise BD by visiting his workplace after work with yummy chocolates I bought behind my workplace.

Yesterday was also Alex’s last day. The first person I know from my batch. Good luck to him! It was also the day Mezzo Melz found a job! Hopefully we can lunch often soon!!

Went through my periodic performance appraisal with my boss; new changes in the coming year, I’m feeling pressured and hopefully it wont be too great a challenge for me. My friends encouraged me to take up this challenge, but I feel another way.

Enjoyed the start of the long weekend with a free movie date and free dinner treat! Thanks to my dear Jan for the free movie tickets. Since it’s free, my friend and I didn’t have much fuss about the movie, but we ended up dozing off during the movie! Whahaha! Wanted to continue the night KTV-ing, but I’m already half dead by the time the movie ended. =x

Entry for him.

this unique friend of mine.

He first attracted me with his beautiful vocal.
Then it was his amazing keyboarding skills;
powerful ability to de-chord melodies, and memorizing lyrics;
artistic and creative doodles and craftworks;
incredible and inspiring words of advise;
remarkable time management;
astonishing self-learnt guitar skills, playing by ear;
encouraging attitude he sees in life;
his frankness and persistence;
the recently gift spotted - amazing cooking skills,
and many more…

He was one of my friends in PIL who never fail to keep me moving.

Today is his last day in the company.

I am really happy for him.

He’s clear of his directions, and I’m sure he’ll never stop moving towards it. =)
