The Closing Week

So many happenings in just one short week.

Overtime working every day;
Felt disappointed over my PB;
Got frustrated till I cried at work;
Saw a dead pigeon while crossing the road;
Missed 30mins and slept 45mins watching a short film at SAM; etc.

Earned praises for the year-end buffet catering that I was arrowed to organise;
Enjoyed the "sayangs" from my colleagues and lao tou
Booked my trip to Medan;
Had a satisfied Mexican meal at Rendezvous Gallery, etc.

..... the ups and downs in a short week.

Addicted!!

My latest food addiction is the soya ice cream from Mr Bean!

(Ref from Google Image)

I've always been a fan of Mr Bean, from their soya milk, pancake, bubble tea to their merchandise and now their ice cream! All thanks to my Junior that I got to try this guilt-free dessert after a hearty lunch one day.

Yes! It's totally guilt-free! I can have many cones for a meal and yet feel so healthy! And it's cheap too! $1.50 for only a cone and their cone taste especially different from those cornettos ice cream's.

My gosh! Vanilla? Chocolate? Cookies and Cream? Strawberry Cheesecake? Nah~ It's Soya Ice Cream!! =D

Counting Down....!

It's FY11/12 Closing period and I have been working overtime in office and at home for the past few weeks! It's quite enjoyable working overtime especially when you know you are not alone.

It's the annual PB letter from HR again and this has caused many unhappiness to some of the colleagues. The basis and scale that HR uses seems pretty unfair. Reasons like "because you were promoted last year, therefore you have low PB this year" were told and most of the staff were not convinced.

I was disappointed with my Director not because of the PB and the grade, but because of the way she handle problems (me). "Never make empty promises" and "jump into conclusion" are the words I would like to convey to her after the incident.

Never mind the unhappiness.

Had an interesting encounter with a security guard of Tanglin Mall yesterday and I am seriously flattered! I was mistaken as a Japanese initially, then a Korean and he concluded that I must be a mixed (Japanese and Korean)! Hohoho~ And I'm even more happy when I see another kilo dropped on the weighing scale! =D

Bye Viruses... Farewell CGL....

Yay!!! Finally I'm in the pink of health! Bye-bye the nasty viruses! ^-^

Apple and Lemon Juice (Vit C Boost) from my lovely Partner, THC~

Went for Zumba last week despite the running nose and cough, and it was quite tedious for me. Panting after a few movements and always running for sips of water cos my throat felt dry many instances. But this week was whooo-hooo! Latin dance is totally awesome! I didn't know it is that sexy and cool! Looking at the expression of the teacher and some students, they totally indulged themselves in the dance with PASSION. Smiles on their face and sexy mesmerizing eyes in their every movements. WOOSH! It's gonna be Latin dance for me again next week!

Another colleague left the department and I felt quite a lot for her leaving.

I am not very close to this colleague, but she is really nice, helpful, welcoming and sociable to new comers. She was one of the seniors who shared with me her experience in doing Bank Reconciliations and she dropped by my room many times to check on my status, and each time she shared with me manuals and information that may help.

Not to comment much about what I heard about her from colleagues, to me, she meant no harm. Though at times, I will experience her bluntness, and sarcasms, she is not a bad person after all. She feels for the needy and can be righteous too.

Her resignation was on an impulse and for this impulse action, she was left with no turning back.

I don't understand why a cunning person rejoices on her last day, going around the office making the statement "雨过天晴了!". Is it because the threat is gone?

Sighs...
