Back to the reality

It has only been a few days since I'm back from my rejuvenated trip and I'm feeling listless again.

I WANNA GO BACKPACKING!!

¤ checked my mailbox and damn it's the peak period again, which means I'll have to bring work back home/work in the office on most weekends again~
¤ colleague have been showing me foul face at work which makes me wonder "what the?! Did I do something wrong NOT talking again?!"
¤ gathering have been cancelled.
¤ received surprising yet irritating emails from someone whom I don't think I have any relations with and she totally freaked me out. This could be one of the dramatic yet scarier cases of over-possessive and mistrusting of your partner in a relationship.
¤ more colleagues/friends leaving the company and what took me SO long?!
¤ got a shocking news from ____, which makes him the 2nd colleague/friend/brother that made me cried over a similar issue.
¤ My dear Lee Hom, the music man's latest album "18 styles of martial arts" will be released at a later date.

But well, there's always something for me to look forward to no matter what. And I shall make use of these coming events/activities to keep me moving! *WOOSH!

NOT another weekend

To the one who care, my trip wasn’t a scam!

I enjoyed myself totally learning, taking pictures and eating! Forget about the months of unhappiness and miseries; forget about the problems in work and life! No travelling to the neighbourhood which I feel uncomfortable hanging around now, no flipping of the weekend newspapers which has become one of my weekend routine.

Let my hair down and do the things I love!

Weather was good, sunny and windy!

Ostrich farm was awesome! Never in my life I see and get that near to so many ostriches!

Seafood lunch was okay since I have limitations in my seafood intake.

Fireflies tour at Kota Tinggi is beautiful! It’s like living Christmas trees all around the swamp! Too bad it's impossible to take/video the beautiful scene with a digital camera~

Fruit farm was interesting. Many interesting fruits and herbs spotted like Sotong Rosselle fruit. Learnt a lot of knowledge about fruits as well! Like there’s a female and male flower in jackfruit productions.

The Mini Zoo is fun!! Cuddly rabbits, playful monkeys, pretty peacocks, heart-warming families of the ‘hens and chicks’, baby ducks, ignorant crocodile, greedy hamsters and innocent tortoises!!

Had a short biology lesson on the differentiation of tortoises’ gender and how they mate. Read about it once online, but this live example is really fascinating!

Resort place is amazing! 1000 rooms that’s all doubled storey! It’s like a house in each room! I love it! Look outside the balcony and u see a big cooling pool waving at you. Places in the resort are easily accessible on a fast and breath-taking buggy rides! 

Bought a lot of snacks and fruits home and I’m “fainting” with the “King” and “Queen” in my house! 

Know a couple from the trip, and it all started with a packet of wet tissue. They’re a nice couple and I feel quite bad not exchanging names with them. We helped each other quite a lot during this trip and I really feel glad knowing them.

It’s really amazing how much out of books/internet stuff you’ll be enriched with travelling and how rejuvenate you’ll be doing things you love.

Making use of the technology

This is probably the first time I’ve made such a last minute travelling booking. No research on the trip, nothing. Just straight to the travel agency and make booking online.

Yes, online.

Communications and travelling documents were made through emails exchanges, and a few calls exchanges.
Payments for the tour package were made through internet banking.

No need to travel down to the agency! How convenient!

Day alone

There are times when you just want to be alone, doing things that you enjoy.

I love exploring.
I haven’t been on board the circle line.
I need to collect my gift.

And so, I explored circle line, had lunch at my favourite food court near my ex-company, collected my gift, shopped around PARCO and bought some stuff for the ____.

I had a peaceful day. :))

So many happenings in one day

I made a new friend.
I got a gift (thanks BD!)
I had fun at the “haunted” KTV.
I’m addicted to a new dance steps from 500’s MV.
I “learned” an arcade game.
I got a coin purse (joint forces from 3 of us!) from the arcade.

The high tide….

I had a 45 minutes mini "tour" around some “deserted” part of Singapore alone.

I was damn scared can?! Didn’t know the last bus from Marina Square to my place is 11:33pm. The taxi queue from Esplanade is freaking long! Then I saw this NR bus that says “Bukit Batok” and I just hopped on the bus. It went to places that I didn’t know, I have night blindness and I nearly freaked out!

Anyway, it’s a long story.
I’m just glad I reached home safely.

Time flies…

Year 2006, we graduated from the same Polytechnic and went on our separate paths in life.

Year 2008, Jan and I graduated from the same University. We were the first in the clique to obtain the University certification.

But…. I got a shock of my life by this little toy while hunting for my potato.
This little disgusting thing looks damn real from far! I HATE ROACHES!!!


Visited Most Original Burger (MOB) that was HIGHLY recommended by a friend of mine and this week’s issue of 8Days, and I can only give this comment ‘ok what!!’.


The burger looks mouth-watering on the menu; we were served as though we’re in high class restaurant with the utensils professionally placed, some of the side dishes that we ordered tasted good, but the burgers really ‘ok what’.

My dear friend said the specialty is their own bread recipe. But that was the ‘ok what’ food, or maybe I’m used to cheap food like sunshine/gardenia bread or probably the bread that Subway/Mac/KFC/BK/MOS uses?

Was craving for some desserts and went for the dessert place that still attracts customers even when the ‘closed’ sign is out. Really nice!

Finally it’s over.

With no practice and no preparations (the only preparation was printing my song lyrics with funny signs); I went in MD with a relaxed mind.

There were many contestants who performed superbly to me, but the remarks by the judges were out of the expected. To many of us (audiences and probably the contestants), the comments was really startling.

As my turn up the stage is nearing, I began to have cold feet. Body was even shivering when I’m on the stage. I was so nervous that I couldn’t handle the microphone. I was searching for the on and off button (there wasn’t any~), and I didn’t speak into the microphone when introducing myself.

Arghz! This was when I know I have stage fright!

Indeed, without much practice, I couldn’t handle my song well. I felt it was worst than normal. Comments by the judges were constructive and enlightening. I’ve learnt something! =D

This is definitely one good experience on stage! I’m looking forward to the next probably in AMC?

This new “成名曲” (it wasn’t even me who picked this song! Thanks Ben~) has officially concluded I am an oldie~

For the start of July 2010~

I have been extremely sleepy for the whole of this week (well, what’s unusual for this sleepy head?). I’m getting more reluctant to force myself up from the ever cozy bed for work. I’ve been coming in later than usual (almost late for work!) the whole of this week.
No motivation lei~

Just Wednesday, I was thinking of drafting a long email to my friends and colleagues, but the thought was “tarnished” the following day. *Disappointment!

Weather was great today, treated myself to a luxurious dessert. Was screaming and running in the rain with the gals and guys.

Was so confident that Brazil will win today’s match against Holland despite my smirking-over-the-roof colleague’s taunting, but I was wrong.

Choose to take the train back home instead of the normal bus home on Fridays only but the train was stuck for about 15 minutes at Buona Vista (=.=). I ended up reaching home at nearing 7.30pm when I can at 6.45pm.
