Healthy Burgers

Was a bit reluctant to have bread for lunch especially so when my throat is hurting so much. However I am glad to have gone with the rest to this Japanese burger place - R Burger (http://www.r-burger.com.sg/) at the orange building near our workplace.

$3.80 for a steamed bun sounds pricey, but the appealing selection of burgers from the common teriyaki chicken burger to special ones like chicken ume and avocado cheese burger is enough to whet your appetite.

Top up another $3 for one of their combos, and you’ll get any beverage of your choice from their menu and a salad stick or potato wedges to go with.

I had a Tofu burger combo A (lemongrass green tea + potato wedges). Wasn’t quite sure whether it will keep me full at the first look. Burger looked small and wedges look little. But I started burping after a few bites of the burger!

Managed to finish all and Toby’s unfinished potato wedges (I just cant resist wedges!!) and I don’t feel as sinful because the meal feels healthy. Despite of the nothing-special tofu, burgers were steamed with lightly salted mushroom sauce and wedges were not that oily, with a big cup of sugarless lemongrass green tea, the meal is definitely a healthier fast food burger choice!
