It’s cooking and eating!

Applied for leave on Tuesday just to try out the recipe that I inspired from B’s mom.

Potato sausage spring rolls!

It’s actually quite easy to prepare but the deep-frying part was quite difficult to handle. This is the first time I’m trying out deep-frying (I usually boil, steam or stir-fry the food~) and as expected, I still have more rooms for improvement.

What made me happy was my dad actually said “hao chi” for the first time before I even asked for his comments! \(^o^)/ Thanks dad!!

Resumed work on Wednesday afternoon and I was told to collect some Macarons from Elaine baby on behalf of Adrian’s treat for regular Kota Donald customers.

Have never tried macarons before and the last comments I heard from Oppa about the macarons that she bought from Bakerzin wasn’t exactly that good. “Imagine cream filling your mouth” was what she described. For a-not-so-cream-lover like me, I don’t think I’ll love it.

But the ones from Elaine baby (her friend made it), is different from what I’ve expected it to be!

Tried the dark chocolate macarons and it was delicious! B tried the caramel flavoured, it was nice too but it was a little too sweet for him.

Condo Cat

One thing for sure that I always look forward to after my work is seeing the “Condo Cat” (CC)! Not sure of CC’s gender but looking and playing with CC definitely leaves a smile on my face.

Played with CC yesterday when I reached home as usual and CC was unusually affectionate! It would normally lie down quietly when I stroke its back and pat its head, but CC was purring, going under my skirt, curling itself around my legs and was stepping on my feet holding me back whenever I tried to leave.

What a darling~

This morning, I saw CC under one of the benches beside the swimming pool, shivering in the cold rain; I just couldn’t bear to leave CC alone. “Shoo-ed” CC to the condo’s office where there’s shelter, I finally feel more at ease as I head to work.

*Rain, rain go away~ come again another day~*

Another colleague gone~

Mai Lao Tou is what I nicknamed him.
“沧桑的背影” is what I always portray him as.
Like what a lot of friends described him, a quiet yet crappy guy.
He’s a colleague/friend who completely fooled me many times and one who taught me quite a few “life experiences”.

Reminiscing the days when he played a part in my working life, like a brother, a friend, a colleague; I’ll definitely miss him.

Watermelon Head~

Decided to heed B’s advice and went for an early hair cut this morning just in case something happens to my hair and so I have ample time for my hair to go back to normal before Chinese New Year.

I am glad I’ve made that decision. I look exactly like the picture below now.
