280808 - RMIT Graduation

Whoohoo~!! Finally declare graduates from RMIT!! I can finally jump for laughter as my 2years of hardship have all been paid off for one piece of paper.

The awards ceremony was kind of a low class one. With chairs lousier than Ngee Ann's and hall much smaller than Ngee Ann's. Though there's a tea reception at the end of the ceremony, i seriously rather they dont have this. Food tasted yucky and super not user friendly. Serving snails for the guests? My tian~! Many of the guest (including my mummy) who's illiterate to english characters just eat watever is on the tray! Not to mention the english illiterates, in this small and crowdy atrium, people just take whatever food at arms length! Janice and my mum ate the snail pie without knowing its snail (they thought it was mushrooms) and got a shock out of themselves after knowing the truth!

Its so disgusting! And this tea reception is a very very good example of the kiasu-ness of Singaporeans! Squeezing and pushing one another just to take food. No order at all! Not only about the food. Many are so rude!

Walking through graduates who are trying very hard to take some pictures of themselves with the school etc. There were no words of "excuse me" or "sorry" for their rude actions! Many times Janice have to tell the person blocking our way to excuse themselves.

This whole event was so un-glam. I really missed Ngee Ann. It felt more like a University to me than SIM. Haix..

But anyway.. My cheeks were swelling after the long hours of photo shooting once we put on our gowns. Hahaha! Not only my cheeks, my back and my head were in pain from the long hours of heavy wear. Hahaha! Its really one good experience of gown wearing.
