Reminiscing life in PIL [08/09/2008 ~ 22/10/2010]

Stomachache in the first day of work;
Gasped at the sight of the number of people in my batch (it was said to be the most number of newbies on the same day).
Brought up to my department by Erika and Alice became my buddy.

《无间道》enactment by my batch guys during our on vessel shipping familiarization programme was entertaining and unforgettable.

The scolding days by my Boss were miserable and not motivating. But I managed to overcome it with the help of some nice colleagues then.

Receptionists were always friendly and motherly. Shirley is always smiling and caring; Sandie is always “in a rush” yet concerning. Angeline is always eating with her small sized, Cheng Hao the always “let’s go for sandwich?” guy, Brigitte the Chairman Secretary that I admire very much of her bravery.

I became cliques with some colleagues after a few months. Alice my buddy, Kang Yan the Ah bui 1, Benne, Melvin and Toby my best crazy pal now! Then Melvin introduced Elaine (Ah bui 3 aka Baby) into the clique and she’s my best confidante now!

My first cry in PIL and it’s over a silly prank by Bryan Mai, my relationship with Benne Tan, tea-breaks with Vinny are unforgettable.

Days slowly passed and many have changed. The colleagues and friends I met come and go. First it was Alice, then Bryan, Elaine, Vivien, Zenrick, Chin Hock, Vincent, Qian Rong, Alex, Melvin, Benne, me and Ying Long.

During my period in PIL, I’ve met and befriend really nice colleagues. Colleagues from ACL, AGSL, CORP, MGMT, LINER, TDFN, FIN, ISD, FLEET & TECHNICAL, LOGISTIC, P&T, HR, and ADMIN made a meaningful part of the picture.

There were nicknames for me by my colleagues (I especially love “cute cute” by Ange and Ah Bee *heh*) which made my stay even happier and memorable.

As the sayings, friends come and go; true friends remain no matter what.

I am thankful for the encouragement and farewell messages that some of the colleagues and managers sent. Ms Peck came to find me (her first time entering Fin department!) with her blessings; Chairman’s Secretary, Brigitte, the receptionists Shirley and Sandie and my boss made me cried especially hard on my last day in PIL.

T_T Misses~~
